PROJECT PROFILE

The 6904 Hollywood Blvd. building was constructed in 1921. It is an example of the early low-rise commercial buildings constructed of a steel frame, unreinforced masonry, and wood floor joists. The facade along Hollywood Blvd. was identified as historically significant and was restored as part of the project.

The scope of work included:

  • New structural framing system for the existing building
  • Complete restoration of the historical facade along Hollywood Blvd.
  • Construction of a new 3-story structure
  • New mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire/life safety systems
  • New energy efficient roofing system
  • Two new elevators
